Statutory context

A Chartered Accountant may sign provisional financial statements only as a compilation under SRS 4410 (Revised), and may report on projections only under SAE 3400 — never as a certification of a forecast (Clause (3), Part I, Second Schedule, Chartered Accountants Act, 1949). UDIN is mandatory on both reports. Income tax is computed at the rates in force for tax year 2026-27 (Finance Act, 2026) and held constant; surcharge, loss set-off and deferred tax are not modelled. Bank benchmarks (current ratio 1.33, TOL/TNW 3, DSCR 1.25 and 1.50 average, debt-equity 2, Tandon II MPBF) are typical norms, not law, and are editable. The report wordings are illustrative and must be adapted to the engagement before signing.
